Analyst's note:  Thought you'd like to know about a developing national pattern of illegal aliens drivers on our national highways.  When the Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signs the bill known as SB 957, that state will join New Mexico, Washington State, California and Utah in giving illegal aliens access to driver's licenses. 

In the case of Illinois alone, this measure will give licenses to an estimated 250,000 illegal aliens.  Illinois has added a very nice touch since the license would be considered invalid if the holder is stopped by police and driver cannot provide proof of liability insurance. However, an illegal alien would not have to demonstrate proof of insurance when applying for a license.
