Analyst's note:  Our United States is currently in big trouble, and it is getting worse by the hour .... see if you agree.  All stops are being pulled to protect an unintended state leviathan.

Master Sgt. Nathan Sommers, a 25-year Army veteran and conservative Christian based at Fort Myer has faced retribution and punishment from the military for having anti-Obama bumper stickers on his car, reading books written by conservative authors like Mark Levin and David Limbaugh, and serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at his promotion party.

Sometime in the summer of 2013, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) will release the latest revision of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, more commonly known within medical circles as the DSM.  Discover the chilling, information on exactly what will now considered a mental illness.  But this is NOT all ....

Soldier Told Not to Read Levin, Limbaugh or Hannity in Uniform

by Todd Starnes (FoxNews)

[....] During the summer months, Sommers came under fire for reading the works of Mark Levin, Sean Hannity and David Limbaugh.

Sommers was reading Limbaugh’s “The Great Destroyer” backstage at a U.S. Army Band concert at the U.S. Capitol. A superior officer told him that he was causing “unit disruption” and was offending other soldiers.

“I wasn’t reading aloud,” he said. “I was just reading privately to myself. I was told they were frowning on that and they warned me that I should not be reading literature like that backstage because it was offensive.”

In another episode, he had been caught backstage reading a copy of Levin’s “Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America.”

Sommers said he was told to refrain from reading the book “while in uniform or within sight of anyone from the band.”

“This is the first time since (my superior officer) indicated I had offended others with my choice of reading material, that I was officially counseled about it,” he said. “The statement took my breath away. I was speechless.”

[....] It’s a long-standing tradition within the U.S. Army Band for promoted soldiers to host a party for their fellow troops. So the soldier decided to have Chick-fil-A cater the meal.

“My family likes Chick-fil-A and we like what they stand for,” he said. “I can make a statement and at least express a religious point of view at my promotion party – theoretically without any fear of reprisal.”

[....] The soldier fears that the military is becoming less tolerant.

“Ironically, the liberals are preaching tolerance,” he said. “They are saying, ‘We can tolerate you.’ But if you have a certain belief that doesn’t align with what the military wants you to believe – particularly religious beliefs – you’re no longer welcome in the U.S. military.”

[....] A chaplain was relieved of his command over a military chapel because he could not allow same-sex weddings to take place in the chapel.

And a chaplain who asked senior military officers whether religious liberty would be protected in the wake of the repeal of the law against open homosexual behavior in the military was told to “get in line” or resign.

[....] UPDATE: After this story was published, the Military District of Washington issued the following statement:

A public affairs spokesperson said Sommers did have the right to display a political sticker on his private vehicle.

“Accordingly, the Soldier was not prohibited from displaying a political bumper sticker. Instead, the Soldier’s supervisor discussed the appropriateness of the bumper stickers with him and potential perceptions of others in light of the regulatory guidance.”

“The Soldier is not, and never has been, “facing retribution and punishment from the military for having anti-Obama bumper stickers on his car, reading books written by conservative authors like Mark Levin and David Limbaugh, and serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at his promotion party,” the spokesperson added.

Enemies of the State
by PETER FARMER (Family Security Matters)

The misuse of psychiatry as a tool of political repression has a long and sordid history. In the modern era alone, repressive regimes - from Nazi Germany to Castro's Cuba to Mao's China - have used involuntary psychiatric imprisonment, false diagnoses of mental illness, and other pseudo-scientific methods as a means of marginalizing, neutralizing or destroying dissidents, ideological enemies and other individuals troublesome to the state. However, perhaps nowhere else were these methods used so extensively or with such great refinement as in the Soviet Union.

[....] Sometime in the summer of 2013, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) will release the latest revision of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, more commonly known within medical circles as the DSM. The latest version, the DSM-V, will serve - like its predecessors - as the standard diagnostic reference for the identification and treatment of psychiatric disorders. So far, so good. However, a closer look at the new reference provides some disturbing, even chilling, information on exactly what is now considered a mental illness. The DSM-V vastly-expands the number of psychiatric disorders and also widens considerably what is to be identified as mental illness. Consider the following examples1...

Adults over the age of fifty-five who occasionally forget everyday information, such as where they last left their car keys or the like, are now considered to have neurocognitive disorders.

Children or teenagers who occasionally throw a temper tantrum or challenge authority are now said to have disruptive mood dysregulation disorder.

If you stockpile food, water or other disaster-preparedness supplies, you are now considered to be suffering from obsessive-compulsive hoarding disorder.

There are many other similar examples - too numerous to list - of new psychiatric "disorders," but a pattern can clearly be discerned - the DSM-V treats much normal human behavior consistent with human variety, difference and eccentricity as social and/or medical pathologies.

[....] It is not mere conjecture that such a deprivation of civil rights will occur sometime in the future; it is already happening. As reported by Douglas Hagmann2 at Canada Free Press, Jason Egroff, a 28-year old web designer and Christian radio broadcaster, was taken into custody by Scranton, Pennsylvania, police and held for psychiatric evaluation and questioning based solely on an anonymous tip from an unidentified "psychiatric health" worker. Mr. Egroff, who has been an outspoken critic of Barack Obama's policies, did not have a criminal record, broke no laws and has been, by all accounts, an upstanding citizen. It is a matter of public record that the Veteran's Administration has sought, without due process, to deprive certain military veterans of their constitutional right to bear arms using questionable diagnoses of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and other illnesses. There are other examples.

According to one estimate, under the new DSM-V guidelines, some fifty percent of the American population can be classified as "mentally ill." How convenient all of this is for Obama and his statist friends. Gee - wouldn't it be nice to know if those "fifty percent" correspond to that half of the nation who did not vote for him in the last two elections and who stand against his policies?

[....] An expanding state leviathan existing symbiotically with a psychiatric establishment willing to sell out in the name of the all-mighty dollar, ideology and political expediency spells trouble - not just for the mentally-ill, but for all Americans.

Justice Department Fights Release of Secret Court Opinion Finding Unconstitutional Surveillance

by David Corn (Mother Jones)

In the midst of revelations that the government has conducted extensive top-secret surveillance operations to collect domestic phone records and internet communications, the Justice Department was due to file a court motion Friday in its effort to keep secret an 86-page court opinion that determined that the government had violated the spirit of federal surveillance laws and engaged in unconstitutional spying.

[....] As news reports emerge about the massive phone records and internet surveillance programs—each of which began during the Bush administration and were carried out under congressional oversight and FISA court review—critics on the left and right have accused the government of going too far in sweeping up data, including information related to Americans not suspected of any wrongdoing. There's no telling if the 86-page FISA court opinion EFF seeks is directly related to either of these two programs, but EFF's pursuit of this document shows just how difficult it is—perhaps impossible—for the public to pry from the government information about domestic surveillance gone wrong.

InBloom, Common Core – the Gates’ Ambitions – Data Collection

Stand Up America (Editor)

Have you heard about Common Core yet? If you have school aged children you may already know about it but if you don’t already know what it represents, perhaps you need to look closer. Also, remember that even if you do not have children in school, these people are teaching future voters – its all about content control. Are we tainting the future through societal memes that revise history?

Do you know that 45 states have adopted it, according to their website? Now some of those states are rethinking their commitment like Indiana and North Carolina. Below is an article on Melinda and Bill Gates concerning this endeavor of Common Core and “personalized learning”. Also posted below is a video of NC Lt. Gov. Dan Forest discussing the issues, and this link will take you to the opponents efforts at “Common Core – Education Without Representation“. [....]

[....] Most recently, in a January 2, 2013 article published on the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation website entitled “Profiles in Courage: Philippines Passes Reproductive Health Bill,” the article congratulates all of those who helped bring expanded access to “reproductive health” through the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012—recently signed by President Aquino. This bill states that women and men—living in the most Catholic of Catholic countries—can now “decide freely and responsibly the number and spacing of their children.” What the Gates Foundation website omits is information about the provision within the bill involving “population management” through mandatory counseling of couples seeking marriage licenses. In this case, social justice involves a demand that couples learn about the government’s views on an ideal family size of two children—coming one step closer to China in its government’s one-child policy.

This commitment to a distorted definition of social justice by Melinda and Bill Gates will likely continue because they have been lead to believe that such control is what is best for people. The Core Curriculum is really just another component of population control—it is used to help teach children the “facts” about climate change and problems of over-population. Indeed, the population agenda is a trap that many wealthy, highly intelligent people have fallen into in the past. From the wealthy eugenics supporters of Planned Parenthood’s Founder Margaret Sanger, to the Rockefeller family and their population control initiatives, this work continues today through their heirs—heirs like David Rockefeller—an ally of Bill and Melinda Gates. And some influential Catholics have been complicit in this. At one time, Rev. Theodore Hesburgh, President Emeritus of the University of Notre Dame served as a trustee, and later, Chairman of the Board of the Rockefeller Foundation, a funder of population causes counter to the teachings of the Church.

The population control initiatives promoted by the Gates Foundation will continue to grow nationally and internationally because they have convinced others and themselves that they are saving lives. On their website, they ask: “what is more life affirming than saving one third of mothers from dying in childbirth?” What they do not seem to acknowledge is how many unborn children have died from their initiatives.
