Analyst's note:  Absolutely must read.  Since I have a speech to give tomorrow, I wasn't going to spend a great deal of time writing any comments today, but then I saw the videos that I'm about to share with you (open this article) .... so here we go again.  Despite the recent pleas of some high-level politicians, who demand a "foreign enemy intention and policy machine," we must continue to concentrate on what we know the enemy is capable of and less on what we think he is planning. This will help stop our consistently underestimating enemy offensive capabilities, and reduce our national vulnerability to a masterful deception. As stated by our founding father, George Washington,

"There is nothing more necessary than good intelligence to frustrate a designing enemy, & nothing that requires greater pains to obtain. " (George Washington, Spymaster, back cover.)

Caution and secrecy have kept many spy stories from ever being made public from our Revolutionary war. The names of many patriots spies in that war, and others since (including those of today), will never be known. But it is no secret that they helped win the Revolutionary war as well as the wars that followed. Nor is it a secret that George Washington was their superb spymaster. General Washington's skills were recognized by none other than Major George Beckwith, the head of British intelligence operations in America at the end of the war. Beckwith later noted: "Washington did not really out fight the British, he simply out spied them."

America is necessarily forced to operate in the shadowy world of double agents and covert operations, of codes and ciphers, cell phones & tweets as well as FaceBook, etc., etc. – a world so secret that even the spymaster himself doesn't know the identities of some of his agents. One of those such organizations is our National Security Agency (NSA). Some Americans want more thinking, talking and understanding about how to protect our nation against the global Islamist jihadist threat.  Well kind of ...  until our federal government stopped using such words in order not to offend our Islamist enemy.

We have put out a series of postings describing the chilling purge of any references to the doctrine of Islam in federal government counterterrorism materials. This didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of a conscious and deliberate policy decision at the highest levels of the Obama administration.

We now know that Russian authorities wire tapped a phone call between Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his mother, in which they discussed “jihad.” This phone call was part of the reason the Russians alerted the FBI about Tsarnaev.

Had John Brennan, now our CIA director, listened in on this phone call, he almost certainly would have dismissed any concerns about Tsarnaev.  Why? Because Brennan has stated publicly he believes the notion that “jihad” is connected to terrorism is false. Brennan believes “jihad” is a “holy tenet” of Islam, because he claims it refers only to personal improvement.  Or what our friend Dr. Walid Phares calls “Islamic yoga.”

This Obama administration refuses to acknowledge any jihadist ideology behind Islamic terrorism. The second short video below is a must-see in this regard.  We can only speculate what might have happened when the FBI investigated Tamerlan Tsarnaev if our counterterrorism strategy included identifying jihadist ideology as a prime motivator of jihadist attacks.  But since the FBI can’t consider jihadist ideology when it does such investigations, it’s no wonder it dropped its investigation of Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

The national debate does continue in some circles... and the so-called main-stream media can be part of the solution, but instead they have chosen to become part of the problem. The NSA has a huge mission, with precious little time to find, fix, and help destroy those who will do us harm as they operated abroad and within our own nation.

As has been pointed out in the past, our intelligence community must be right every time, our enemies only have to be right once. I suppose I could prattle on here, but let me give you my bottom line: I still trust our National Security Agency far more than I do the political group of progressives (in both parties), otherwise operating as policymakers.  Yes, our most dreaded enemy is one known as a "domestic enemy." That domestic enemy of which I speak has embedded itself in our governments, universities and other elements of national infrastructure.  They presently call themselves "progressives" (socialist/Marxists) and have aligned themselves with the one-worlder's and Islamist in order to bring America to her knees.  This "domestic enemy" is found operating and headquartered domestically in Washington, D.C.

In the days prior to the resurgence of the global Islamist jihad, as stated years ago by Gen. Lewis Walt, USMC (Retired) in his book published in 1979 entitled, "The Eleventh Hour"  on page xiii, our objectives as citizens are to:

"[...] 1. to purge the Congress of the forces of appeasement and surrender which are pulling us toward war or slavery; and 2. replace them with men and women of integrity and common sense who will restore our military superiority, the only coin with which we can buy the time for diplomacy to work.

The destiny of the American people belongs in our hands, not in the hands of foreign tyrants.  Will you join me in the fight to return it to our shores?"

Gen. Walt went on to say on page 98 of his book:

"I think the future of our country boils down to this simple proposition:  either we as Americans will assume the responsibilities of citizenship or or nation, as the land of the free, will be destroyed. [....] We are living in a time of crisis, when the fate of our nation will be determined within a few short years."

War is a Racket by Smedley Butler is a famous speech denouncing the military industrial complex. This speech by two-time Congressional Medal of Honor recipient exposes war profits that benefit few at the expense of many. Throughout his distinguished career in the U.S. Marine Corps, Smedley Darlington Butler demonstrated that true patriotism does not mean blind allegiance to government policies with which one does not agree. To Hell with war.
