Analyst's note:  We only begun to see the impact of this travesty by the Obama regime.  The gov't will not disclose where they dumped these thousands of illegal alien children with contagious diseases across our nation, without quarantine or proper screenings. What did we think would result?  All this while US Army officer is denied entry into daughter’s school because uniform might ‘offend’ Muslim students.  This whole thing seems like a bad dream.

Just wait till our military ,which is being sent into the middle of Ebola infection in Africa, begin returning home. We note that Sierra Leone in Africa orders lockdown in Ebola crisis.  If our volunteer doctors on-site in Africa can not keep themselves from contracting Ebola, what makes Obama think some already stretched group of 18-19 year old U.S. Marine, U.S. Soldier, U.S. Sailor, or U.S. Airman are going to be kept safe?  Not to mention the contaminated equipment they travel in/on or return aboard?  Oh, I guess we are not to worry.  This is just more equipment the Obama gov't can provide "free" to our police forces & SWAT teams to go along with Grenade Launchers given to Campus Police at our colleges and universities.  I'm not a doctor, but this fails the "smell test" to me , especially when we consider that no one knows how this ebola is actually spreading or where it "hides" when not infecting people.  Maybe the civilian aircraft they use will be returned just in time to help with all our Christmas travel schedules. Thanks Obama!

Just weeks after the Obama administration let nearly 40,000 illegal-alien children into the U.S. without health screening, over 1,000 kids across 10 states have been stricken with a respiratory virus.

The rapid explosion of mystery enterovirus EV-D68 is sending children to hospitals across Missouri, Colorado, Kansas, Utah and eight other states. “In Kansas City, about 475 children were recently treated at Children’s Mercy Hospital, and at least 60 of them received intensive hospitalization,” CNN reported.

“It’s worse in terms of scope of critically ill children who require intensive care. I would call it unprecedented. I’ve practiced for 30 years in pediatrics, and I’ve never seen anything like this,” said Dr. Mary Anne Jackson, the hospital’s division director for infectious diseases.

Back in June, Top Right News reported on border agent reports that the Obama Administration transported thousands of illegal alien children with contagious diseases across the nation, without quarantine or proper screenings. Medical critics decried theTheir apparent goal was to get them enrolled in schools before the new year began.

At the time, Border Patrol agent and Rio Grande Valley Union representative Chris Cabrera told me:

“U.S. Border Patrol agents are worried that what’s coming over into the U.S. could harm everyone. “This time the focus is not on the women and children that are crossing over in droves. “Agents are worrying about a viral outbreak. “We are sending people everywhere. The average person doesn’t know what’s going on down here.”

Now those concerns have become a reality in dozens of schools across America, according to critics who blame Obama’s reckless and rapid dumping of illegal Central American children into cities and towns without the consent of local officials or citizens.

In June, Johns Hopkins Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet warned that illegal aliens crossing the U.S.-Mexico border were carrying the diseases and cited her experience working on medical projects in Central and South America since 2009.

“A public health crisis, the likes of which I have not seen in my lifetime, is looming,” Dr. Vliet wrote. “Hardest hit by exposures to these difficult-to-treat diseases will be elderly, children, immunosuppressed cancer-patients, patients with chronic lung disease or congestive heart failure.”

She also warned, “Vaccine-preventable diseases like chicken pox, measles and whooping cough spread like wildfire among unvaccinated children. Other illnesses, along with scabies and head lice, also thrive as children are transported by bus and herded into crowded shelters – courtesy of the federal government. Treatment costs are borne by taxpayers.”

Radio talk show host Michael Savage, a Berkeley-trained epidemiologist, blasted Obama for releasing the illegal-alien children into the population and school systems: “For 20 years, I’ve been trying to warn America about the unscreened immigrants being brought in. Now, of course, it’s coming home to roost and the American people are being lied to (by the CDC).

“The CDC is claiming they don’t know why this rhinovirus is suddenly breaking out in your area. … Don’t you think it would be rational to say, ‘Wait a minute. Let’s look at these clusters to see if these kids are in schools where Obama dumped illegal aliens? You know that the government will not release the schools or the districts when they move these kids from Guatemala into this country? They won’t even disclose where they are.”

Savage is exactly correct. Former CBS reporter Sharyl Atkisson reported that the Obama administration is refusing to tell Congress where the ten of thousands of unaccompanied illegal alien minors who crossed the U.S.-Mexican Border this summer were sent after they were processed though holding centers along the border.

Symptoms of the virus are similar to those of the common cold and include coughing, difficulty breathing, rash and sometimes fever or wheezing. The CDC says there are no available vaccines or specific treatments for the virus, which isn’t typically fatal. Most children recover from it in about a week, though it can develop into a more serious illness – especially in patients with asthma.

In July, Savage warned of rampant spread of once-contained or eradicated diseases re-entering the U.S. through the latest flood of illegal aliens.

The mainstream media – in typical, Obama-defending fashion –  has completely ignored the illegal alien children factor.

However, ABC News’ Chief Health and Medical Editor Dr. Richard Besser accidentally supported Savage’s argument when he said, “Viruses don’t tend to respect borders. It is only 10 states now, but it’s going to be across the country. So if your state doesn’t have it now, watch for it, it’s coming.”

Besser’s statement was made in the context of the virus spreading from state to state. But a virus doesn’t know the difference between a state border and a national border.

And for American parents and their children, Obama’s open-borders policies are beginning to hit very close to home.
