Analyst's note:   Absolutely must read.  Please take the time to study this entire article and associated comments.  Here is further evidence that political correctness and the resulting language of deceit is still guiding our federal government.  They are unable -- or unwilling -- after 10 years to identify our Islamist enemy.  The American people are thus being "played" by our own government, a government who are themselves being guided by socialists, Marxists, communist, "new world order types," and no less than operatives of the Muslim Brotherhood -- those who would follow sharia law ... anything but our U.S. Constitution.

The end results will be additional deaths of innocent American citizens. If our leaders are unwilling to at a minimum, clearly identify the people, agencies, ideologies or nations as they see themselves, their analysis is then based on wishful thinking rather than fact. If this is true, then their analysis is likely detrimental to the safe conduct of those using your work as guidance. In order to increase you knowledge of the the world around us on this critical topic, we suggest an internal search within this site on the terms of "jihad", "sharia" (this gets both spellings),  and "Muslim Brotherhood", "Awlaki", "CAIR", "Caliphate", "Caliph", "Constitution", "Cordoba", "Deradicalization", "Dhimmi", "Hezbollah", "Hizb ut-Tahrir", "Holy Land Foundation", "Islamist", "Moderate Muslim", "Salafists", and "Taqiyya".

In Muslim Brotherhood 'declares war' on U.S. - Did Anyone Notice? we learn:

[....] Some U.S. and Western leaders are urging engagement and partnership with the Brotherhood, Rubin notes, because they regard it as moderate. But the movement, founded in the 1920s in the wake of the collapse of the Ottoman Turkish empire, considers itself an instrument of the charge Muslims have been given since Islam's founding 1,400 years ago – to make the Quran and Allah's authority supreme over the entire world.

In a 1991 document titled "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America," the Brotherhood stated the Muslim community "must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

==========================================================================================

In the second paragraph of the Overview of the National Strategy for Counterterrorism it states,

The United States deliberately uses the word “war” to describe our relentless campaign against al-Qa’ida. However, this Administration has made it clear that we are not at war with the tactic of terrorism or the religion of Islam. We are at war with a specific organization—al-Qa’ida.

I could easily end the article here and let you ponder that one statement, but the National Strategy for Counterterrorism goes oh so much further. This 19 page “strategy” is anything but and is just one more example of how well the current administration can waste time, man power and your money.

You would think that by now, ten years after 9/11, that those who have been elected, to among other things, protect the American people, would have some sort of grasp on counterterrorism. You would think that, but you would be wrong.

Last Sunday on the anniversary of 9/11 during each and every speech I heard over and over again that “it has been ten years and we have not been attacked”, really?

I guess Nidal Hassan and the Foot Hood shooting didn’t really happen after 9/11/01 or in even in the United States. I must have been mistaken about the Christmas day bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who attempted to set off his Fruit of the looms; I thought it was Christmas day 2009. Granted he didn’t succeed, but it was an attack nonetheless. I could go on here naming others from Shahzad Faisal, the Times Square SUV bomber to the D.C. snipers John Allen Muhammad, and Lee Boyd Malvo, but you get my point.

In the introduction of the 19 page strategy it states,

As we approach the 10th anniversary of that day, we can look forward with confidence in our accomplishments and pride in the resiliency of our nation. We have prevented another catastrophic attack on our shores…

Oh, so I guess in this case Foot Hood wasn’t “catastrophic”? Tell that to the family, friends and co-workers of the 14 people shot dead that day, or to those that survived that will never be able to sleep well again.

First and foremost the entire strategy is based on one enemy and one enemy only. No, not terror or terrorism, remember that is a “tactic not an enemy”. It clearly states over and over again the enemy is “al-Qa’ida”. It mentions “al-Qa’ida” 165 times in its 19 pages.

It does however offer a definition. In the section “The Threat We Face” it states,

The principal focus of the National Strategy for Counterterrorism is the collection of groups and individuals who comprise al-Qa’ida and its affiliates and adherents.

Affiliates: Groups that have aligned with al-Qa’ida.

Adherents: Individuals who have formed collaborative relationships with, act on behalf of, or are otherwise inspired to take action in furtherance of the goals of al-Qa’ida —the organization and the ideology—including by engaging in violence regardless of whether such violence is targeted at the United States, its citizens, or its interests.

I think the way that the definition is worded it would cover any organization that commits a terrorist act. Wouldn’t it be easier to say “terrorists”? Just sayin’...

On September 9 of this year, just days before the 9/11 anniversary, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton touched on the new National Strategy for Counterterrorism while giving a speech at the John Jay School of Criminal Justice in New York. She stated,

“Earlier this summer, the Administration released its National Strategy for Counterterrorism. It makes very clear we face both a short-term and a long-term challenge. First, to keep up the pressure on al-Qaida and its network. Second, to face down the murderous ideology that fueled bin Ladin’s rise and that continues to incite violence around the world.”

“To face down the murderous ideology that fueled bin Ladin’s rise and that continues to incite violence around the world.” Hmmm. Madam Secretary, you are aware that terrorism was around long before Bin Laden was born in 1957 right, so maybe the “ideology” that you speak of didn’t come from him, perhaps it came from somewhere else, say, oh, I don’t know, Islam?

Secretary Clinton also spoke of the difference between the way we treat “terrorists” and they us,

“When we capture al-Qaida members, we detain them humanely and consistent with international standards. And when we do strike, we seek to protect innocent civilians from harm. Terrorists, of course, do exactly the opposite.”

Perhaps Madam Secretary you should read that the next time you plan on chastising Israel when they retaliate with a surgical strike in Gaza after its civilians are killed by Hamas rocket fire.

Clinton also spoke on law enforcement action vs. military,

“And just as we will not shy away from using military force as needed, we will also use the full range of law enforcement tools. Those who argued in the past that the fight against terrorism was a military matter and not appropriate for law enforcement posed a false choice.”

“This also means putting terrorists on trial in civilian courts, which have time and again shown their effectiveness at convicting terrorists, including many right here in New York, without endangering our local population.”

Aside from the fact that she used the dreaded “T” word, I don’t recall the argument about whether or not putting terrorists on trial in civilian courts was only a question of “endangering our local population”. I thought it had something to do with the fact of giving the murderous bastards Constitutional rights in order to have a civilian trial even if they were not U.S. citizens.

Clinton also spoke about weapons of mass destruction,

“We’ve also taken steps to protect against new cyber dangers and to prevent terrorists from acquiring weapons of mass destruction. That remains the gravest threat facing our country and the world.”

Wow! Does that include countries like Iran that not only support and train and supply terrorists, but are actively working towards building a nuclear weapon? You might want to mention it to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, you could do it in person since he is coming to NY today.

Towards the end of her speech she spoke about the need to have an “international counterterrorism network”,

“We need to expand our efforts to build an international counterterrorism network that is as nimble and adaptive as our adversaries’. So we have launched a diplomatic offensive to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation on counterterrorism.”

Finally, she unveiled the new Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF),

“We have a broad and ambitious agenda, and to carry out this work, I am upgrading our office devoted to counterterrorism to a full-fledged bureau within the State Department.
But until now, there’s been no dedicated international venue to regularly convene key counterterrorism policy makers and practitioners from around the world. So later this month, we will take another significant step forward by establishing a new global counterterrorism forum.”

Another bureau? Just what we need, more offices, more people, more red tape and more money spent and of course even though it will be an “International” group it will be based here in America like the U.N. I feel better already seeing how well that has worked out.

But as if all this doesn’t give you a warm and fuzzy feeling, the final explanation from Clinton surely will,

“We’re bringing together traditional allies, emerging powers, and Muslim-majority countries around a shared counterterrorism mission in a way that’s never been done before. Turkey and the United States will serve as founding co-chairs and we will be joined by nearly 30 other nations. Together, we will work to identify threats and weaknesses, devise solutions, mobilize resources, share expertise and best practices.”
“This will improve international coordination, but it will also help countries address terrorist threats within their own borders and regions.”

Who better to be on this group than a “Muslim-majority”? Does the fox watching the hen house come to mind or I am I being too critical? After all, the Arab Spring has brought us such wonderful Democratic governments throughout the Middle East.

According to the new GCTF website,

The U.S. proposed the creation of the GCTF to address the evolving terrorist threat in a way that would bring enduring benefits by helping frontline countries and affected regions acquire the means to deal with threats they face. It is based on a recognition that the U.S. alone cannot eliminate every terrorist or terrorist organization. Rather, the international community must come together to assist countries as they work to confront the terrorist threat.

It will provide a needed venue for national CT officials and practitioners to meet with their counterparts from key countries in different regions to share CT experiences, expertise, strategies, capacity needs, and capacity-building programs.

Okay, “frontline countries and affected regions” as well as “different regions to share CT experiences, expertise, strategies”. Sounds like a good idea, America should learn from other countries counter-terror expertise and strategies.

So, let’s just take a look at what countries are involved in this new Global Counterterrorism Forum.

The 30 founding members of the GCTF are: Algeria, Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, the European Union, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Morocco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Glad to see so many of our “allies” in that list. Especially Pakistan since they played such a pivotal role in helping us Kill Bin Laden.

But hold on, there is a name missing from that list, isn’t there? If you really want to have counter-terror experiences, expertise and strategies what would be better than the country that has faced more terror than any other?  Who has more experience dealing with terror more than any other? Who, more than any other country has the expertise of dealing with terror day in and day out?

Of course why would this administration use the country that I speak of, after all it is September and the Palestinians are about to ask the UN for Statehood.

So I ask you, counter-what, counter-terror or counter-Israel?

===================================================================================================

What if someone gave a war and no one came -- until too late?  That is basically our situation as too many of our U.S. and Western leaders are urging "engagement and partnership" with the Muslim Brotherhood.  This is the same Brotherhood  that is regarded on one hand as a supporter of Hamas and at the other as a moderate voice of Islamism.  The Muslim Brotherhood has a "Stealth Jihad" underway inside America.  The question is, "How long will it take the rest of America to understand what we are up against?"  There is no question that when sharia and American law are in conflict -- to the global Islamist Jihadist -- it is American law that is not considered.  We must remember that "Peace" within the minds of too many Muslims is the absence of disagreement with the views of the radical Islamist.

America, along with much of the West, generally still fails realize that a Stealth Jihad or war is being waged against us on our own soil.  It is being waged by an ideological movement that manifests itself in different forms of power:  regimes, circles within governments, indoctrination of institutions, and other organizations.  Because of the stealth, we have failed to detect and thus recognize the jihadist (Salafist & Khumeinists) menace that moves within our society and have done so since at least 1990.  We still see much of the mainstream press, maybe as much as 90%, still trying to find non-existent roots other than jihadism to explain the terrorism in this country since 9/11.

We have 80 percent of the mosques in America that are inculcating and disseminating totalitarian anti-Semitic ideology. With as many as 3,000 mosques in the United States we then have approximately 2,400 of them are preaching treason and sedition inside our own United States.

Oil money remains the most significant factor contributing to this grand deception.  Gulf oil-producing regimes and individuals continue to make money available through various means to colleges, schools, and universities.  Oil money also makes its way to public libraries, the public media and government agencies dealing with education, defense and national security.  The influence has spread like a cancer through all layers of public life.  As such it has directly influenced the well-being of our economy, and our political establishment.  Such power and influence from oil money is also found within the United Nations.

This corruption by oil money has poisoned much of our public perception.  This includes our newsrooms, courtrooms, artrooms (including what comes out of Hollywood), too many of our war rooms, and finally our legislature and business suites.  We are seeing the consequences of this today.

Politicial correctness is certainly contributing to what is being reported here.  We are now rightfully concerned about jihadis recruits who go abroad for training and experience and could return to the United States to carry out attacks.  We must also concern ourselves with those who radicalize and never leave our shores.

As reported in this article mentioned above by Art Moore, we learn in part the following:

"Five years before the 9/11 attacks, al-Qaida declared war on America, the West, Christians and Jews – and virtually no one noticed.

Now, a longtime observer of Islam is warning that a "war declaration" of potentially much greater significance has been made.

The Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Badi, who was elected only months ago, has "endorsed anti-American Jihad and pretty much every element in the al-Qaida ideology book," [...]

[....] In a sermon published Sept. 30 titled "How Islam Confronts the Oppression and Tyranny [against the Muslims]," Badi said waging jihad against both of these infidels, Israel and the U.S., is a commandment of Allah that cannot be disregarded.

The remarks were delivered in a weekly sermon, published Sept. 30 on the Muslim Brotherhood's website and translated into English by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

The sad news about this article is that is is true.  Understanding the enemy of the global Islamist jihad and our responses to them is like a set of glasses that permits one to see.  These are facts that the left -- today's "progressives" don't want to have published.

Whether we want to hear it or not, this long-war against the Islamist has really only just begun.  Our ability (think national economy) and willingness to defend oneself remains critical in a war against thugs on the street as well as in the world in which we live.  Here is but a summary -- you will want to click on the title above for the rest of the story.

Higher education has clearly failed America in order to receive and protect their sources of foreign funding, according to Dr. Walid Phares.  As a result, over many years the U.S. has produced a large group of academia, diplomats and journalist as well as some of our senior military who have been so "educated" who are unknowingly "preaching" for the jihadist enemy.

It also helps to put this discussion into perspective to understand that according to Dr. Walid Phares, 90% of American Middle Eastern studies programs - from which our nation has been receiving much of our information on the jihadist enemy - is run by Wahabist out of Saudi Arabia.  So we have graduates from a department of history who are not taught the true evolution of the jihadist and their movements or their globalist Islamist goals.  As a result, these same "educated" people have been writing and discussing such Islamist terrorists as "insurgents" or members of some kind of "rebel movement."  We have been too long under the huge power whelded by pro-jihadist lobbies in the U.S. and Europe who work to numb the instincts of our citizens as to these global Islamist jihadi terrorist.  We have failed to understand their true origin and goals of world domination.

According to Dr. Phares, we are confusing our enemies with our strategic message.  It is little wonder when our gov't and standard media work so hard to not even identify those who still constitute a threat to our United StatesI agree that "... a reminder of American strategic priorities must be communicated in Arabic to the region’s audiences [...]" we win and you lose.  We are in a street fight, and weakness is considered "poor form."  One central, clear, coordinated message is always good.  That way the troops know what is required of them even when they lose communications.   It might also be a good idea to stop the "apology tours," and for heaven's sake stop bowing to every leader.  Sometimes it still scares our troops and allies when they see and "officer running toward the rear" ... or showing his rear. The following is taken from an article again found on this site:  "U.S. National Security Is Targeted by al Qaeda and Iran's Strategic Threats," written by Dr. Walid Phares and published on Family Security Matters.

[...] the two main (and active) threats against U.S. national security in the post Cold War era are, and continue to be, the Salafi-Jihadi global networks including al Qaeda and a plethora of webs and organizations all marching in the same direction on the one hand; and on the other hand what I coin as the “Iranian-led axis” which incorporates the Tehran Khomeinist regime, Hezbollah, the radical pro-Iranians in Iraq and in other Arab countries and the Syrian regime’s Mukhabarat.

[...] when U.S.-based researchers and commentators have an opportunity to help Arab audiences understand what the fundamental threats are that determines U.S. perception, they must engage in educating Arab readers and viewers.

Please consider here is a useful quote from the Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran to understand that the concept of jihad goes well beyond the "Palestine Islamic Jihad:"

"Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled or incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of [other] countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world. . . . But those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. . . . Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Does this mean that Muslims should sit back until they are devoured by [the unbelievers]? Islam says: Kill them [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter [their armies]. Does this mean sitting back until [non-Muslims] overcome us? Islam says: Kill in the service of Allah those who may want to kill you! Does this mean that we should surrender [to the enemy]? Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to Paradise, which can be opened only for the Holy Warriors! There are hundreds of other [Qur'anic] psalms and Hadiths [sayings of the Prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all this mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim."

It is important to note that this notorious and important quotation comes from Amir Taheri's book, Holy Terror: Inside the World of Islamic Terrorism, Adler & Adler, 1987, pp. 241-3.

I can not recommend strong enough that American citizens must Dr. Walid Phares' book, "Future Jihad:  Terrorist Strategies Against the West."  It exposes the true nature of the jihad's mind.  Dr, Phares, raises important issues that must be considered for effective counterterrorism strategies.  Through this book, he participates in the necessary global effort to educate the West about past mistakes in judgment that let to the terrorist advances.  More importantly, he conveys to the reader the urgent message that "From what we now know regarding what happened and from what we know could have happened, comes a terrifying picture of what could happen around the world if the appropriate policies and measure are not taken."

Our federal government who will not permit the proper and full use of the term "jihad" as used by our enemy is lead by one who has changed his name to Barack Hussain Obama, from we really don't know where, who now serves as President of the United States with an Egyptian female Muslim advisor (Dalia Mogahed) who is endorsing "[...]"  the Gülen movement which seeks to restore the Ottoman Empire and to establish a universal caliphate." and who defends "[...] the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Both of these US groups are tied to the Muslim Brotherhood."  Remember that Turkey was once the home of the Ottoman Empire.

In the article found within this site entitled "White House Muslim Advisor Supports Islamist Glen Movement" by Family Security Matters - by Paul Williams, PhD we learn:

[...] Fethullah Gülen has been called the “most dangerous Islamist” in the world. He has amassed a fortune - - thanks, in part, to the CIA - - of $25 billion. This money has been used to transform the secular government of Turkey into an Islamic Republic under the Justice and Democratic Party (Adalet ve Kalkinma, AKP)- - a party under the Gülen’s control."

The caliphate, if reestablished, could become a sort of superstate that is placed above the sovereignties of all Arab or Muslim governments.  Islamist, who believe in "civilizational" lineage, see the U.S. as a simple extension of the old continent despite our founding fathers' work to separate from Europe.  Under a caliphate, and a strict Islamist interpretation, no group of infidels (that would include Israel and the U.S.) have the right to a separate political existence.

The Muslim Brotherhood (a form of radical Salafism) is likely the most sophisticated web of global Islamic jihadism.  A man whom we all know as Osama bin Laden is a member of this organization.  Some of the most infamous of the Brotherhood offshoots are Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Palestine, Gamaat Islamiha and Islamic Jihad in Egypt, and south Asia's Jamaat Islami and Abu Sayyaf.

"To the Islamist,  every land ever conquered - or opened - during the fatah under a legitimate Islamic authority cannot revert back to the Infidels [...] The Muslim Brotherhood invented 'political jihad' which means using democracy to come to power so that one can destroy democracy."  (both concepts from Dr. Walid Phares, in his book called "Future Jihad).

Someone please explain to me how all that I've just observed and reported is a simple coincidence?
