Analyst notes: Aaron Swartz died facing 35 years in prison and $million in fines for hacking into and MIT computer. His crime was trying to make taxpayer-funded research publicly available. Fellow hackers broke into another MIT website in protest of the harsh penalty sought by the US Justice Department. They were trying to promote government reconsideration of penalties in such cases as this.
In the time when the Justice Department (Fast and Furious) and the State Department (Benghazi) actions bring about the death of American citizens... and little to nothing happens to the guilty. Strange that the politicians seem to have very different penalties for their criminal actions than those metered out to us lessor citizens.
