Overkill: The Rise of Paramilitary Police Raids in America
Details

Analyst's note: A growing epidemic of what is often referred to as "isolated incidents" of paramilitary police units (most commonly called Special Weapons and Tactics, or SWAT) for routine police work) are happening here in the United States. Frankly a return to the U.S. Constitution by our citizens and our own federal government would make a number of these concerns expressed herein disappear. Maybe you returned military veterans like now being thought of as a "domestic terrorist" by those who should be looking out for your best interest .... I don't.
Here is just one example of a former U.S. Marine arrested by FBI for patriotic Facebook posts!!:
"Government officials disregarded Raub's explanation that the Facebook posts were being interpreted out of context, sentencing him up to 30 days' further confinement in a VA psych ward where he was forced to undergo psychological evaluations," Whitehead said.
"Fortunately, in an unexpected ruling handed down by Circuit Court Judge Allan Sharrett, the government's case against Brandon Raub was dismissed on the grounds that the petition for Raub's detainment 'is so devoid of any factual allegations that it could not be reasonably expected to give rise to a case or controversy.'"
“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”
― Patrick Henry
We observe SWAT raids on non-hostiles, warrantless searches & seizures, and TSA checkpoints & grope-downs are the norm against sovereign U.S. citizens just as they are our presumed enemies in foreign countries. The only difference being that Americans think they have more to lose if they resist. We see our own FBI, Secret Service and county police swarmed the home of citizens after they post comments to their Facebook wall that are, apparently, flagged by Fusion centers as highly suspect and threatening to what .... their federal government.
