After all, an outright attack reveals the real nature of the enemy and risks public demand for retribution (which is possible even from an administration that's only muscular with members of its own party who object to government health care). So the jihadists bide their time with a stealthier, more insidious strategy that softens our suspicions, ridicules our concerns, undermines our security, lulls us into vulnerability and in effect preps us for submission.

This campaign of deception is exactly what the Council on American-Islamic Relations is spreading throughout our country with the aid of Saudi dollars and the abiding silence of the establishment press.

Even though "Muslim Mafia” documents a daring undercover operation to infiltrate CAIR by an "intern" posing as a Muslim convert, the media – without exception – ignored it. When CAIR sued the father-and-son investigative team behind the penetration – and WND Books brought in a dream team of First Amendment attorneys to defend them – the media ignored it. When those attorneys showed that CAIR did not legally exist, the media ignored it.

Fortunately, you have not ignored it.  And it's your support that helps WND fund the attorneys who are fighting not just to protect the investigators, but free speech and our national security.

Those threats to our national security are now so painfully obvious, I wonder how the media will continue pretending to ignore them.

Consider this: Prompted by "Muslim Mafia,” four members of Congress asked the Department of Justice for information about its investigation of CAIR's role as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case in Texas. (The largest terror-finance case in U.S. history eventually ended with guilty verdicts on 108 counts.)

The evidence showed individual CAIR founders helping Hamas through a shell group formed by the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood is patient zero for the Islamist movement, the spawn of al-Qaida, Hamas and most of the major jihadist groups of the 20th century. Its stated aim is to establish Saudi-style Islamic law throughout the world.

Saudi Arabia is a totalitarian country where it is illegal to be anything other than a Sunni Muslim. All the churches and synagogues were destroyed long ago. The once-thriving Jewish communities were slaughtered hundreds of years ago. It's not even legal for non-Muslims to enter the "holy city" of Mecca.

Saudi Arabian money funds most of the mosques in the U.S. today. It's also responsible for spreading the fanatical jihadist ideology throughout the world. And it also writes the checks that keep CAIR afloat.

At the same time, Saudis are investing increasingly large amounts in media enterprises the American people depend upon to give them their news.

WND isn't so compromised nor is our revenue or editorial decision-making poisoned by the influence of Saudi money. That is why we need your support and your help in spreading the truth about CAIR.

The transcripts turned over to the members of Congress hint at the wicked intents of the Islamists' PR front. In 1993, Holy Land Foundation President Shukri Abu Baker said, "And let's not hoist a large Islamic flag, and let's not be barbaric-talking. We will remain a front so that if the thing happens, we will benefit from the new happenings instead of having all of our organizations classified and exposed."

With the establishment press pretending not to know CAIR's crimes and worse — propping up its phony "moderate” image, that WND continues its commitment to this cause is ever more essential.
