Analyst's note: Like the author, I'm not buying that poverty causes the global Islamist jihad. Read on and you will come to the same conclusion. Now if we simple citizens could just convince our so-called federal gov't "experts" of the error of their current thinking. Me thinks far too many of our federal gov't types are taking guidance from the Islamists jihadis already within our borders. With a little research, we will likely find that which is true in the U.K is also true here in the U.S. sharia
I've noted before here that the jihadist "guardians" - those involved with their education, religion, welfare organizations do sometimes do some good. They provide some schooling, but they brain wash new generations. They are found in the mosques, madreses and other religious organizations. In this day and age, they are also found in electronic and the printed media. These groups can NOT be destroyed by force. They need "financial starvation" of their organizational elite. Above all absolute unity and determination of the civilized world.
The "guardians" must be stopped. They are financed by Saudi Arabia and donations by certain Muslim communities in the U.S. and Europe. They are also financed by some European gov'ts and certain United Nations organizations.
The more inner levels of the jihadist include their preachers, those who plan or provide direct support, their commanders and those who profit serving as terror infrastructure. These inner levels and the terrorist themselves must be destroyed by force. They are financed by terrorist states like Iran (#1 danger) and Syria and formerly Iraq and Libya.
Both the U.S. and Europe are key. Together we must understand the "new landscape" coming from radical Islam otherwise known as "Islamist." Clearly our gov'ts do NOT yet understand.

Quite to the contrary, this study demonstrates that, even with all the advantages of one of the most prosperous and highly developed nations on the planet, Muslims born in the U.K. still find a reason to wage jihad. So, there must be something else than poverty and lack of opportunity.
