Analyst's note:  Absolutely must read.  Here is a side of "political Islam" (also called "radical Islam," and "Islamist") that you likely don't think about on a daily basis.  Every American absolutely should read this entire article  by Robert Spencer. 

"The caliph in Sunni Islam is the symbol of the supranational unity of the Muslims, and is the successor of Muhammad as the military, political, and spiritual leader of the Islamic community. There hasn’t been a caliph for nearly 90 years, but now Pakistan’s Minister of State for Industries, Ayatullah Durrani, has a novel idea for just the right man for the job: Barack Obama!

The caliphate was abolished in 1924 by the secular Turkish government; foremost on the agenda of Islamic supremacists worldwide is its restoration. Hamstringing that effort, however, has been the lack of a candidate who would be acceptable to everyone concerned. The elusive one-eyed Islamic cleric who leads the Taliban in Afghanistan, Mullah Omar, was declared caliph—Emir al-Momineen, or Leader of the Believers—by his followers in 1994.

[....] Yet there is a note of seriousness amid all this absurdity. Note where Durrani wants Obama to proclaim himself caliph: at Ground Zero, of all places. Why there? To promote reconciliation and interfaith harmony? No—that is not what the caliph does. The caliph is uniquely authorized, according to Sunni Islamic law, to wage offensive jihad against non-Muslim states in order to bring them under the hegemony of Sharia. So clearly Durrani has picked his spot in order to mark the victory of Islam there—as innumerable Muslims around the world will understand the planned Ground Zero mosque to be doing as well.

Obama as the Leader of the Believers, said Durrani, would be the “key to success.” It’s noteworthy that a member of the Pakistani government would be able to look at Obama’s record as President and conclude that he is not only a Muslim, but should become their leader. It is just another indication of how unmistakable and consistent is Obama’s record of appeasement of Iran and pandering to Islamic interests—whether he is among the believers or not.

We must also ask ourselves, "What on earth is the President doing fraternizing with, and thereby legitimating, operatives of an organization (The Muslim Brotherhood) with a seditious mission - to say nothing of the Ground Zero Mosque?"  It is bad enough at any time, but does anyone in Washington remember that we are still at war with the global Islamist jihadist.  I almost forgot, our federal "leaders'' no longer use such terms.  Why would the "ostrich" come to mind as I draft these remarks?

We now see Obama's adherence to the principles of shariah law and the results of his Muslim upbringing during his most formative early years of life.  Are these questions being asked on our evening news from our standard media?  If not, why not? 

Where is the outrage from our Congress?  It may not be reported in Washington and by our once standard media, but I can assure you that the outrage is out here on the streets of America.

Since at least 2008, Newt Gingrich gets it and is speaking out  -- we have a "Stealth Jihad" underway inside America.  The question is, "How long will it take the rest of America to understand what we are up against?"  There is no question that when sharia and American law are in conflict -- to the global Islamist Jihadist -- it is American law that is not considered.  We must remember that "Peace" within the minds of too many Muslims is the absence of disagreement with the views of the radical Islamist.

America, along with much of the West, generally still fails realize that a Stealth Jihadist war is being waged against us on our own soil.  It is being waged by an ideological movement that manifests itself in different forms of power:  regimes, circles within governments, indoctrination of institutions, and other organizations.  Because of the stealth, we have failed to detect and thus recognize the jihadist (Salafist & Khumeinists) menace that moves within our society and have done so since at least 1990.  We still see much of the mainstream press, maybe as much as 90%, still trying to find non-existent roots other than jihadism to explain the terrorism in this country since 9/11.

Oil money remains the most significant factor contributing to this grand deception.  Gulf oil-producing regimes and individuals continue to make money available through various means to colleges, schools, and universities.  Oil money also makes its way to public libraries, the public media and government agencies dealing with education, defense and national security.  The influence has spread like a cancer through all layers of public life.  As such it has directly influenced the well-being of our economy, and our political establishment.  Such power and influence from oil money is also found within the United Nations.

This corruption by oil money has poisoned much of our public perception.  This includes our newsrooms, courtrooms, artrooms (including what comes out of Hollywood), too many of our war rooms, and finally our legislature and business suites.  We are seeing the consequences of this today.
