Analyst's note:  Absolutely must read and see this stunning report and video.  Overseas Contingency Operations ... my foot .... we are at war .... and our enemy is inside our gates.  Among other things, we see by this report that despite legal requirements to do so, the required information on the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction is not being reported.

This administration really does need our permission and oversight as provided through our elected Congress, but that ability to provide oversight is being short-circuited.  One must ask, "Why?"  One plausible reason is that as we have repeatedly reported here that the global Islamist jihadist have infiltrated some of our highest government offices.

For additional needed insight into what the Obama administration is doing - or not, please do an internal search on "Obama" along with a separate search on the terms "Constitution"  and then "DHS", "Muslim Brotherhood", "Soros," "WMD" and "CAIR" for a revealing picture.  Just a look at the resulting titles alone is enough to see that in terms of national security .... we are in trouble.  This report then from "Stand Up America" becomes a kind of "forward" to even more revealing set of intelligence -- all available to you from open sources.

Our rights and our very lives are at stake.

Does Congress matter? Do the people matter? Apparently not when it comes to reporting on our safety against terrorism and WMD proliferation. The Department of Homeland Security under Janet Napolitano, and the Department of State under Hillary Clinton appear to be woefully negligent, almost to the point of rendering Congress as an unimportant portion of our WHOLE government. This borders on willful disregard for the law.

Recent testimony shown in the video below cannot be viewed just once to totally grasp how egregious the State Department and DHS are failing us in the “War on Terror” or as it is known now; Overseas Contingency Operations.

The House Committee on Homeland Security, Chaired by Rep. King of New York, is in charge of oversight of the administrations activities regarding our safety from terrorism among other things. Most notably here, the Sub-Committee on Oversight, Investigations, and Management, chaired by Rep. McCaul of Texas is responsible for ensuring that Congress has the information it needs to operate on behalf of the people regarding terrorism.

As part of their duties, they make sure the government is complying with its duties under LAW. This appears to be problematic as we can see in the video that the Federal Government is having serious problems obeying the law, complying with the law, and it has even changed the reporting structure by deleting countries of interest from the reports, and not including any mandated assessments for any country on that country’s activities to prevent the proliferation of WMD.

The Government Accounting Office, in the person of Mrs. Williams-Bridgers, an Inspector General, gives a scathing report on the deficiencies, the tardiness, and the lack of any metrics or clarity. Most notably, the reports no longer include some previously notable countries and zones concerning terrorism like Indonesia and the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. She also noted that not all agencies mandated, even reported at all. She even stated that Congress cannot do its job because it does not have nearly enough information, and in some cases; none at all!

Of course, not all information can be reported in an open format, but State even refused to provide classified information for committee use behind closed doors as Congress had created the avenue to do so, and requested! The set of reports due in 2010 are still incomplete now in June of 2011.

Answering questions from Chairman McCaul were Mrs. Shari Villarosa of the State Department in her capacity as Deputy Coordinator for Regional Affairs, appointed in 2008, and Mark Koumans, Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at DHS.

Rep. McCaul summarizes his time with the statement: ”...hope that DHS and State can update the reports so that the other branch of government can do its job.”

Please take the time to listen closely, we simply cannot continue to watch the Executive Branch continue to expand its power at the direct loss, and balance of power of the Congress and the people’s house to do its work FOR THE PEOPLE.
