Analyst's note: Why is it the fed's always think they have the answers to local problems? Their answer is likely the concept of never let a crisis go to waste. If you don't have crisis, then create one that you can mold to fit your cause. "Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are now moving beyond donning hoodies, as they push for new legislation for everything from gun control to limits on neighborhood watch groups in response to death of Trayvon Martin.
This story goes far deeper than you might otherwise think. We need to get this event in perspective. The New Black Panther Party (NBPPA) has not only national but also international connections that are working together on the Trayvon Martin case and as issuing "Wanted: Dead or Alive" posters. Mona Charen points out in her recent National Review article entitled "The Trayvon Morality Play" the following:
"[....] The death of Trayvon Martin is a terrible thing, but it is being hijacked by the usual suspects to create a morality play. Whenever this happens, and it happens with some frequency in American life, truth is corrupted.
About 150 young black men are killed every week in America — 94 percent of them at the hands of other young black males. Only one of those murdered on February 26 has dominated national news coverage — because his killer was not black.

The legislative steps in the wake of the fatal shooting face an uncertain fate. So far, they come exclusively from Democrats in the Congressional Black Caucus -- not power-wielding Republicans who would no doubt be leery of a hasty legislative response, particularly with an investigation still underway.
But the sponsors are working on the measures over spring break and plan to push them when lawmakers return later this month. They claim they're trying to prevent another killing like the one that has touched off a raging national debate about race and the justice system. [....]"
