Analyst notes:  Did the NY Times reveal classified sources and methods used by NSA and our Cyber War units in its recent article about "Obama's military prowess"?  It would absolutely not be a surprise if the NY Times overstepped America's interests and perhaps even the law in trying to make our current President look Presidential.  We all know there are no lengths to which they will not go in support of Mr. Obama.  They are now reporting about US-Israeli creation and use of STUXNET, FLAME, and OLYMPIC GAMES  attacks on Iran's nuclear bomb infrastructure.  It is hardly the first time Obama's press machine passed along confidential, even classified information in the hope it will make Americans think him potent election medicine.

Thought #1:  That this cyber attack is just now being re-discovered by the liberal press seems certainly an Obama election ploy.  Look Presidential, echo the Osama Bin Laden "triumph" that was one of the only things Barry did which had widespread acceptance and approval. Now he wants to look tough retroactively... "we were doing a war on Iran all along!"  However, like so many of Obama's actions, this one shows nothing more certainly than the man's ego.  He had not seen the dangers it has posed to America, he has not cared to mobilize DHS, the DOD, or the civilian utilities to protect about the backlash of his decision to cyber-bomb Iran.  Again he thinks aggressive action is only good if it is covert. While our sons and daughters die in Afghanistan and elsewhere under rules of "civilized, non-insulting, warfare"  our ignorant leaders have launched another whole game of warfare.  America was first and only in dropping "the bomb" and now we are doing the same with "the bug bomb". Can it be but only time until, like nuclear weapons, the cyber-weapons proliferate and come home to threaten America. Of all nations, America is most vulnerable to these weapons. Iran had perhaps one target --- nuclear plants. We have hundreds.  How was this a preferred substitute to overt American actions to stop Iran?  When did video game warfare replace serious policy decisions? Where is Obama-think leading us?  It looks like no where good!  Now the world has STUXNET to study, emulate, improve, and use against us. Thanks, Barry!

Thought #2:  What can you say of leaders who are so asleep at the wheel that America cheers when computer geeks show they are capable of physical damage to critical infrastructure.... but these same leaders can not envision its implications against our own interests?  We have a Department of Homeland Security to protect American infrastructures but nothing is coming from them to encourage or assist our industry to avoid vulnerabilities.  Leaders who can not conceive of a likely future are NOT leaders. Congress, industry, DHS, DOD, and others have a responsibility to protect America from crippling catastrophe... but they are waiting for a disaster to be "approved" to move ahead.  What happened to American leadership that we need multinational approval, examples of homeland disaster, or outright war declarations by our enemies (even this latter is not working right now.... i.e. Iran's threats, continuing terrorist activities)---- are required before they feel safe supporting action?  Are they so crippled they can not act, or so blind that they cannot see, or so timid they will not honor their oaths? America needs leaders and action, not political games and foolish dangerous half measures by bought out selfish ideologues.

Though #3: How long and how much is required to awaken America from its slumber of dreamed peace?  Many, including CSIA Report, have been pointing out the threats to America from its blindness to technological dangers. We have reported on STUXNET before, stressed that cyber-war is a new and real battlefield as dangerous (or more) than past ones!  Now the elections have awakened the New York Times and its follower liberal media hacks to ring the bell once again. They act like this is new information. Yes, the technical assessments of the threat to America from "the bug" are right! Yes, that they immediately got loose and caused "collateral damage" in other nations and facilities, that they pose a precedence that is more dangerous to America than our uncivilized terrorist enemies --- these remain the great concern. This concern has been and is being pressed! What is this President doing about it? The media pretend this shows Presidential prowess on the part of our weak, amateur President.  If he is so wise, what has he done to alert American industry to these dangers he has unleashed on others?  Where is his voice clearly calling for American infrastructure protective action, for securing strategic materials and processes, for TRUE actions toward energy independence, for employment of American (not new foreign) engineers and scientists on projects to make our way of life safer, less dependent on our enemies, more proudly bold on battlefield against barbaric enemies?  Presidential clandestine policy performed outside Congressional oversight and public scrutiny do not make me feel better... just more concerned he leads America to places he dares not admit, nor little understands. This is NOT showing the world a kinder, humble America.... it shows a sneaky, dangerous, wreck-less, America with little thought about harming friendly nations as we release infrastructure bugs on our enemies. This, while we talk of kindness and reason bringing them around to our way of thinking!

Thought #4:  I have seen what computer technology can do to help and to harm our human activities. The concern about STUXNET and our associated Malware war-making activities in America are not even beginning to be appreciated by the public AND our leaders in government.  Yes, the technology can be quickly examined, recreated, and turned back on us.  Yes, by using such malicious programming we have set precedence that can lead to the whole world feeling justified in it.  Not just nations can build this weapon. It is possible for one lone teenager to build these "bombs". It is possible that criminals and deranged revolutionaries can build this bomb.  Unlike nuclear weapons, no massive and expensive project of elite scientist are needed to build these bombs. Having given the STUXNET and its kin to the internet, everyone has the "kit" they need to build and re-engineer these bombs. It is apparent our government has been trafficking in tools it does not understand can damage us more than help us. Why?  We have such technically illiterate political leaders they supported building and using of tools that can take us apart. They have just given the enemies of America a whole new IED technology.
