The vacancies at the top could affect everything from airport screening to the Secret Service, but they are likely to be felt most keenly in immigration, where in addition to ICE, the department’s two other key agencies, Customs and Border Protection and Citizenship and Immigration Services, will be without confirmed leaders.
“Frankly, it doesn’t matter what is in the [immigration] bill because there’s no one to enforce it,” said Janice L. Kephart, a national security researcher at the nonprofit Center for Immigration Studies. [....]

[....] I don’t want to believe it, but we are losing this war.
Each day our soldiers and Marines leave the wire, only to face increasing attacks from a determined enemy. An insurgency that continues to enjoy support—even from inside a corrupt government in Kabul as well as Islamabad.
And they don’t just face Taliban AK-47s and improvised explosives. They also continue to face the guns of their supposed allies, Afghan National Army and Police forces, who have killed over 30 U.S. military personnel just this year alone.
As we try to win hearts and minds, the Taliban uses fear—and in a culture of tribalism and tradition, it is fear that works.
Instead of being afraid of the might of U.S. firepower, enemy fighters use our rules of engagement and restrictions on air support against us. When faced with a split-second decision of whether to shoot, soldiers many times must hesitate—or be investigated. Or, as in the case of the 2009 Battle of Ganjgal, excessive restrictions on air and artillery assets unfortunately meant excessive American deaths.
[....] Make no mistake: our enemy is resilient. But they are not impossible to defeat. When our Marines and soldiers were unleashed—with tanks, artillery, air support, and rules of engagement that favored the U.S. instead of the insurgency during the second Battle of Fallujah in 2004—the fighters soon realized how tough our military was.
“We are fighting, but the Marines keep coming!” said a frantic Fallujah insurgent to other fighters in an intercepted radio communication. “We are shooting, but the Marines won’t stop!”
We need to stop lying to ourselves.
Let our troops do the job that we, united as Americans, know they can do, or withdraw them immediately and save us a predictable and tragic two more years of war.

As pointed out in the Editor’s Note of Stand Up America – Has the Law Enforcement community found a way around ‘Posse Comitatus‘ for the Department of Defense?
Right under our noses, law enforcement has become a domestic military operation across our homeland and we need to ask some hard questions as to the legality and the determine the real objectives.
The police tactics at issue in the Stewart case are no anomaly. Since the 1960s, in response to a range of perceived threats, law-enforcement agencies across the U.S., at every level of government, have been blurring the line between police officer and soldier.
The Department of Defense provides funding and equipment to countless law enforcement agencies nationally which is a supplement to what the Department of Homeland Security provides. The question is why, and just what is the defined agenda? How many failed missions have there been and who is responsible?

Couple of notes on the article and information below. First, I find it absolutely fascinating, when we really drill down and see who the radicals know and what channels brought them to the White House we see both Islamic ties as well as clearly the Communist, Marxist component as well, including George Soros, Bill Ayers, Van Jones, etc. I don't think that point can be emphasized enough. So many of us mistakenly see the war against America as one being fought by Islam and one being fought by Progressives, but this is wrong. They are working quite often through networks in conjunction with each other to dismantle and destroy what I refer to often as the three C's that have been the bedrock of America and that is the Constitution, Capitalism and Christianity.
Secondly, the article makes a couple of small errors, but enough for me to comment on them. Most of these men have been in their current positions inside the White House for a year or longer. Eboo Patel was appointed in 2009. Mohamed Magid has been with DHS since 2011. The title given in the article to Magid, I can't confirm, but we do know that he has been busy causing trouble and rewriting FBI training manuals "from its "Countering Violent Extremism" curriculum any suggestion that Muslim terrorism draws its inspiration from the laws and doctrines of Islam". Obama’s unelected bureaucrat, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, just unilaterally hiked the national debt of the United States another $51 billion dollars. And how did he do it? Simple. He just did it. No Senate. No Congress. No problem.
No problem. He simply called it a "standard set of extraordinary measures" that allows him continually raise the debt ceiling at will and borrow our way into oblivion. If there is a single conservative Congressmen left in our Republic, will he please stand up?
