Analyst's note: Here we go again with specific Islamic terrorism threats here at home as the Islamic month of Ramadan came to a close (it ended Wednesday). And our national "solution" includes having the "TSA Is Coming to a Highway Near You" who has rigorous training that is less severe than the requirements of becoming a local security guard. That's it? Come on people, you have got to be kidding me! "We the People" will NOT be conquered by foreign or domestic forces!

It’s the Muslim holiday, Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan. President Obama has decided to give $195M of taxpayer money to the Islamic nation of Syria to mark the occasion.
In an official White House release, President Obama said: “Michelle and I send our warmest greetings to Muslims celebrating Eid al-Fitr here in the United States and around the world. During the past month, Muslims have honored their faith through prayer and service, fasting and time spent with loved ones.”

Meanwhile, the sequester continues, the White House is not conducting educational tours, and our military don’t have the necessary equipment to protect themselves.

Austin, Texas, Braces for al-Qaeda Terrorist Attack

Law enforcement agencies in Texas have received a special threat advisory based on information provided by the Department of Homeland Security indicating Austin, Texas, has been singled out for a terrorist attack on Friday, August 9. Pasadena, California, is also mentioned in the advisory.
The document was provided to Infowars.com by sources in the Texas State Police on Thursday evening.
“According to anonymous reporting, a group of trained terrorists are planning to conduct attacks in Austin, Texas and Pasadena, California at the conclusion of the Ramadan period,” the document marked for official and law enforcement use states.
[....] If August 8-9 is not a viable for an attack, the terrorists will carry out their operation on August 29, according to the alert.
Infowars.com reported on Thursday that multi-agency “homeland security” drills will be conducted in the Austin area over the next few weeks. Agencies involved in the joint operation include the FBI, the Austin Police Department, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, and the University of Texas Police Department.
“The public should not be alarmed if they observe unordinary law enforcement or first responder activity over the next few weeks in the Austin area,” said DPS Director Steven McCraw, who is also the Texas Homeland Security Director.
Drills and exercises have served as cover for real or perceived to be real attacks on numerous occasions.
On Aril 15, the day of the Boston bombing, we noted a drill was in progress during the Boston Marathon. In June, the Boston Globe published a report verifying “Operation Urban Shield,” a drill designed to train dozens of detectives in the Greater Boston area to work together to prevent a terrorist threat.
“The real thing happened before we were able to execute,” a law enforcement official told the newspaper.
The threat assessment will undoubtedly result in stepped up police presence in Austin, including the likelihood of police checkpoints and other increased police state activity.

The objective is to normalize these sort of violations and acclimate the American people to the presence of militarized police and perpetual surveillance.

Why Have Police In America Turned Into Such Ruthless Thugs?

Once upon a time, the police were one of the most respected institutions in America, but now most Americans fear them. Almost every single day there are multiple stories of police brutality or misconduct that make the national news. Just this week, there have been stories about police killing a baby deer at an animal shelter, about police killing a 95-year-old World War II veteran in a retirement home, and about police using legal technicalities to “legally” steal massive amounts of money from innocent citizens. Why are police acting like this? Why have police in America turned into such ruthless thugs? In the case of the baby deer that was killed, 13 armed agents stormed the animal shelter up in Wisconsin where it was being cared for. Is this really the kind of country that we want our children to grow up in? A country where Bambi is hunted down by armed thugs working for the government? Sadly, the story about that deer is not an isolated incident. The truth is that police all over the country kill animals every single day. In fact, police in Chicago have shot 488 animals since 2008. No wonder people are so afraid to have the police come to their homes.
Increasingly, police departments all over the United States are being transformed into military-style units. These days, even very minor violations of the law can result in a SWAT team raid. The following is from a recent article by John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute…
Consider that in 1980, there were roughly 3,000 SWAT team-style raids in the US. By 2001, that number had grown to 45,000 and has since swelled to more than 80,000 SWAT team raids per year. On an average day in America, over 100 Americans have their homes raided by SWAT teams. In fact, there are few communities without a SWAT team on their police force today. In 1984, 25.6 percent of towns with populations between 25,000 and 50,000 people had a SWAT team. That number rose to 80 percent by 2005.
But it is not just local police departments that are being militarized. This is happening on the federal level as well. In fact, according to Whitehead even the Department of Education and NASA now have their own SWAT teams…
When it comes to SWAT-style tactics being used in routine policing, the federal government is one of the largest offenders, with multiple agencies touting their own SWAT teams, including the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Consumer Product Safety Commission, NASA, the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, the US National Park Service, and the FDA.
What in the world does NASA need a SWAT team for?
The police culture in America has fundamentally changed. In the old days, most police officers were extremely helpful and would give you directions or help you get your cat out of a tree.
But if you stop and ask a police officer for help today, you will be lucky if all you get is some dirty language. These days, police all over the nation are actually being trained to bark orders at you and to respond to the least bit of resistance with overwhelming force.

In the end, we will get the government that we deserve. And according to the New York Times, at this point our government is even willing to manufacture fake terror threats in order to distract us from their surveillance activities…
Some analysts and Congressional officials suggested Friday that emphasizing a terrorist threat now was a good way to divert attention from the uproar over the N.S.A.’s data-collection programs, and that if it showed the intercepts had uncovered a possible plot, even better.

TSA pat-downs soon coming to your travel route

Officials with the Electronic Privacy Information Center appear to not be enthused about the strategy being adopted by the Transportation Security Administration to expand the reach of its famous airport pat-downs to highway checkpoints, bus stations, concerts, rodeos and other events.
Said the privacy organization Thursday, “The Transportation Security Administration has expanded its Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) program to perform warrantless searches at various locations, including festivals, sporting events, and bus stations.”
[....] The report quoted EPIC expressing a concern that the problem with “searching people outside the airport is that there are no real legal standards or probable cause.”
They noted the federal response was that those who don’t want to be searched shouldn’t be at those locations.
[....] The TSA was launched after the 9/11 attacks and has some 56,000 agents, while VIPR operations were begun in 2005 after a train bombing in Spain.
VIPR conducted nearly 9,0000 checkpoints last year, the Times reported. But agents have gotten themselves into trouble, such as in 2011 when Amtrak briefly banned them from railroad property after VIPR agents patted down people after they got off a train in Savannah.

Self-evidently, if "the People"-by "Right"-may "alter or * * * abolish" "any Form of Government" when they find its actions fundamentally "destructive", and may "institute new Government" as they see fit, and the rogue officialdom within the original "Form of Government" is entitled to no say whatsoever in this process, then the authority of "the People" cannot possibly derive from the "Form of Government" then extant, let alone from the as-yet-nonexistent "Form of Government" to be erected in its place, but instead must inhere in "the People" themselves, as a consequence of "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God". That is, under the aegis of those "Laws" "the People" alone are the sovereigns, the "Form of Government" their creation, and public officials within that "Form of Government" subjects who necessarily owe allegiance to "the People".
