Analyst's note:  Absolutely must read and carefully consider.  The concept of radicalism within Islam will have to ultimately be eradicated where it originated, and it goes well beyond Egypt.  As a nation, the United States must understand this enemy and its origins.  We must do so as our federal government continues to withdraw from us the needed insight in order that they can follow a false ideology of their own. Our thanks to Dr. Tawfik Hamid who has completed the writing of a critically needed commentary now associated in at least some publications of the Quran.  His work is called a Modern Interpretation for the Holy Quran. Realizing that many of the jihadist leaders are in fact educated, lets hope that over time, we will see a reduction in such enemy forces as a result of his work. 

Dr. Tawfik Hamid (aka Tarek Abdelhamid), is an Islamic thinker and reformer, and one time Islamic extremist from Egypt. He was a member of a terrorist Islamic organization JI with Dr. Ayman Al-Zawaherri who became later on the second in command of Al-Qaeda. Dr. Hamid is currently a Senior Fellow and Chair of the study of Islamic Radicalism at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies.

If it works, the new path will likely take generations to see the results, but is is a path that needed to be started in this war of ideas.  Otherwise coexistence with Islam will continue to be at best a one-way path to a living hell for the Kafir.  Religion continues to play a most powerful role in shaping the destinations of civilizations.  Anti-democratic forces have emerged from the Islamic sphere targeting power both within its own cultural zone and also beyond.  These are the forces of jihad associated with the political ideology of Islam.

After much study over the years I have come to understand that if a 'Muslim' does not adhere to Sharia law and otherwise does not believe in man-made law, then they are in reality a non-practicing Muslim and as such are an apostate to the religion of Islam Thus the statement that there are no "moderated" Muslims is true. Sharia law is the Islamic religious law that seeks to control societies, through requirements for both secular activities and behavior as well as religious actions. 

Alarm bells should be going off here regarding this matter.  If you have time for but one article today, then this article is it. What is being reported here is not rocket science, and if we are to survive, it really needs to be understood by all adult Americans.

You will benefit from this strategic analysis. Note that not much has changed since the 9/11 attack against the United States.  Far too many of our national "leaders" still do not yet even understand who has attacked us.  They certainly still don't recognize what to do about it.

'Fifth Column' Islamist agents really do walk among us.  America is watching and American's really do demand to know the answer why the Muslim Brotherhood is embedded within our U.S. government.  Islamic extremist groups pose a mortal threat to our United States, so why are they allowed to operate at any depth within our government, let alone at our top echelons or within the ranks of our military. America faces in addition to the threat of violent jihad another, even more toxic danger – a stealthy and pre-violent form of warfare aimed at destroying our constitutional form of democratic government and free society. The Muslim Brotherhood is the prime-mover behind this seditious campaign, which it calls “civilization jihad.” Here is a memorable quote from a speech Ronald Reagan gave 50 years ago that rings as true today as ever:

"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free."

By way of a reminder [...] the Muslim Brotherhood's mission in America is "destroying Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

Islam, as it is practiced my far too many today, is NOT a religion of peace, as they they keep telling us. It is not and it has never been. Study the facts. Read the Quran, study the Sunna and Hadith from Islam’s own historical documents and find out for yourself why Islam is not what its apologists claim and, in fact, it is a menacing scourge. You need nothing more. Their very own sacred book and other records are your best proof to reason with Muslims and help them leave the fold.

Have you had enough yet?  The time to vote is rapidly approaching.  Until that time comes around, we simply must contact our representatives and let them know that we expect action -- or else.  We are going to have to make a thorough "house cleaning" in Washington and it is going to involve more than simply changing the President.

Our own FBI has purged its training materials of all traces of truth about Islam and jihad  Just for openers, American citizens and certainly our leaders must understand some of the basic tenets of Islam - for example:

  • Abrogation [verses that come later in the Quran, chronologically (not necessarily sequentially), supersede, or abrogate, the earlier ones. In effect, this results in the more moderate verses of the Meccan period being abrogated by the later, violent, Medinan verses. “When we cancel a message, or throw it into oblivion, we replace it with one better or one similar. Do you not know that God has power over all things?” (Quran 2:106)],
  • Under "taqiyya," It is permissible for a Muslim to lie, especially to non-Muslims, to safeguard himself personally or to protect Islam 
  • Any system of man-made law is considered illicit under Islamic law, for whose adherents Allah already has provided the only law permitted, shariah. Islam and democracy can never co-exist in harmony
  • Apostasy under the established ruling of shariah is that apostates are to be killed wherever they may be found.
  • Understanding that jihad is warfare to spread Islam
  • There is the belief that Islam is superior to every other culture, faith, government, and society and that it is ordained by Allah to conquer and dominate them.  We must understand that in shariah law, slander means anything that might offend a Muslim.
  • Antisemitism is intrinsic to shariah and is based on the genocidal behavior of Mohammed himself in wiping out the entire Jewish population of the Arabian Peninsula
  • Shariah explicitly relegates women to a status inferior to men
  • We must come to understand all these things and much, much more

We must also understand our own Declaration of Independence, and U.S. Constitution ... not just read them once, but really understand.

Thought you'd like to know that Mr. Barack Hussan Obama's White House has purged OUR federal government records that describe Muslims as embracing violence and is using our FBI to do it. Now why would they possibly do that?  Could it be the fact that Mohamed Elibiary (Muslim Brotherhood Member) on DHS Staff with Security Clearance has Undermined our Nat'l Security ... I'm just saying.

HAMID: Only Egyptians can finish what they started

Modern Islamic radicalism must be eradicated where it originated

 

The state of Egypt today is nothing less than expected, as Islamic radicalism has created outcomes of misconduct and inhumane criminality wherever it has existed. From casting disfiguring acids on to the faces of young girls to prevent them from getting an education to beheading human beings for merely having a different belief system to burning churches, the common denominator is extremism. Dreaming that respecting the ballot in Egypt was miraculously going to solve the problem is simply unrealistic. As exemplified by ballot results in Iraq and Afghanistan, elections are unable to prevent radicals from conducting heinous criminal acts.

In fact, since the Muslim Brotherhood has ruled Egypt, the United States itself has been attacked on several fronts. These include the invasion of the U.S. embassies in Cairo and in Benghazi, Libya, and the attack on the Boston Marathon in April.

Empowering the Islamists is bringing nothing but turmoil and disorder, and traditional Western approaches to end Islamic radicalism have failed. The invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq have resulted in the loss of trillions of dollars and thousands of lives, and the problem remains, as threatening as always. The reason for this failure is essentially related to the inability of Westerners to grasp the ideological, psychological and cultural underpinnings of the problem.

The question remains whether the West should continue fighting this problem, persisting in pursuing current inefficient methods or to “leave the bread to the breadmakers,” meaning letting the people Egypt to battle Islamic radicalism effectively, themselves.

To understand this last phrase, it is vital to understand the pivotal role the Egyptian radical groups have played in creating the phenomenon of Islamic terrorism.

According to traditional Shariah law, jihad (or holy war against non-Muslims) was supposed to be a mission executed at a national level. Ordinary Muslims who wanted to pursue jihad could only do so under the banner of traditional war — between an Islamic nation against another nation. This understanding of jihad — while certainly violent — still did not allow individual Muslims to attack non-Muslims at the individual level as we see today in suicide bombings and other forms of terrorism. Dedicated Muslims who wanted to carry out jihad had to wait for an Islamic government to initiate traditional warfare. In the past few decades, Egyptian radical Islamic groups changed the theology of jihad so that it became an individual responsibility rather than a national responsibility. This theological modification has changed the phenomenon of jihad from a violent act committed via traditional warfare into a barbaric act of terrorism that individuals can undertake at any time.

In order to justify this theological modification, radical groups in Egypt used a hadith, or saying, from the Prophet Muhammad, which translates as “Whoever saw an un-Islamic thing, he must change it with hands,” and a Koranic verse that says, “Then fight in Allah’s cause — thou art held responsible only for thyself.” As if these weren’t enough, an Egyptian radical, Sheik Mohamed Abdul-Salam Farag, published a book in 1981, “The Forgotten Obligation,” in which he created the notion of violent jihad as being a sixth pillar (in addition to the five pillars, or religious obligations) that Muslims observe. Accordingly, performing the five pillars — without subsequently conducting jihad — became no longer sufficient enough to make one a pious Muslim.

The third theological modification that only worsened this phenomenon was also the work of Egyptian radical groups, which considered jihad a religious obligation that must be performed by every capable Muslim, instead of its traditional understanding as a religious obligation that is not a requirement for every individual Muslim.

Since the Egyptian people created this problem, they will consequently be more efficient in resolving it than the Western world. In fact, a saying spreading across Egyptian social-media outlets states, “We — Egyptians — created this radicalism, and we will end it here.”

In addition to traditional security measures by the police and army, Egyptians have been using very creative and effective measures to fight the radicals. These include ideological reforms, fatwas, or religious decrees condemning the radicals, and even jokes that ridicule them.

Now the question remains: Will the West be wise, and let the Egyptian people fight radical Islam in their own way, or will the West interfere with ineffective suggestions and useless approaches that will only empower radicalism? Will the Egyptian people listen to the advice from the West and remain spineless in their approach toward radicals, thus turning their country into another Iraq or Afghanistan, or will they ignore counterproductive advice?

The West has been trying unsuccessfully to fight radicalism since Sept. 11, 2001. It is better for the West to “leave the bread to the breadmakers” and let the Egyptians do the job.

Dear Readers

 

I have completed the writing of a Modern Interpretation for the Quran.  The work is in the form of a commentary (652 pages) beside the religious text to interpret such text in a way to counterbalance the radical interpretations. The latters have permeated several Islamic books and commentaries and have resulted in terrible consequences to the whole world. It is very common among dedicated young Muslims to read commentaries for the Quran to understand the complexities of its religious text. Shaping the impressionable minds of these young Muslims depends largely on what is written in these commentaries. 

 

The educational foundations for the work include:

 

1-    Contextualization of the violent text

 

Let us take this verse as an example:

 

Quran [9:5] "Kill the Infidels wherever you find them" At-Tauba

 

Following a literal understanding of this verse can only produce the mindset of the attackers of Sep 11, Boston Bombers, and other terrorists who have no respect for the value of human life.

 

In the commentary, and via novel complex linguistic analysis of the original Arabic verse, the meaning of such a verse has been limited ONLY to the early stages of Islam when early Muslims were fighting the idolatries of Mecca. The exact Arabic expression in the verse uses the word "Al-Muchrekeen" (The Infidels). The use of "Al-" (The) in the word limits the verse (and thus commandment) to a specific time and place in history- only against who fought Prophet Mohamed in the early stages of Islam. Had the intentions of the Quran been to extend the application of these verses in perpetuity, it would have used the expression "Mn Ashrak," rather than "Al-Muchrekeen".

This particular verse "Kill the Infidels wherever you find them" was one of the verses that radicalized me when I was young. Had I read any commentary that contextualized the meaning of such a verse (and many other similar verses) in time and place, I would not have been radicalized.

2-   Putting more emphasis on the peaceful verses

 

Such as:

 

Quran 22:17 Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians (can mean an ancient religion or people with no specific religion), Christians, Magians, and Polytheists,- God (alone) will judge between them on the Day of Judgment: for God is witness of all things.

 

Quran [23:96] Respond to those who do bad deeds against you by doing good deeds to them.

 

Quran [18:29] "It is the free will of any person to believe (in God) or to be an Infidel (Un believer).

 

3-    Establishing the Noahide Laws as universal Laws for all humans

This is based on the following verse in the Quran:

 

Quran [42:13] The same value system has He (The Lord) established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah

 

4-    Addressing the factors that has impeded reformation within Islam such as the concept of abrogation of the peaceful verses "Al-NasechWa Al-Mansuch) and putting new interpretation for them. 

 

5-    Encourage Non- Literal understanding for the religious text to give Quranic justification for- and support to -the values of Human Rights.

 

 

The Introduction of the work 6 pages (which sets 10 foundations for a new way of understanding for the Islamic religious text) has been published last Saturday in nearly a full page in one of the most widely distributed and reputable Newspapers in the Arab World.

Hamblin & Peterson: Factions grew out of government failures in the Middle East

The Middle East has faced an abundance of conflicts, rival groups and, for many Americans, difficult names. It’s often hard to tell the players without a scorecard. Here, as a possible aid to understanding the background behind the headlines, is a brief primer on two of those organizations, Hezbollah and Hamas. The first of these — the Hizb Allah” or “Party of God,” whose name is properly pronounced with emphasis on the last syllable — is a radical Shi‘ite Muslim group that was formed in reaction to the Israeli invasion and occupation of southern Lebanon in 1982. Not surprisingly, it’s strongly anti-Western and anti-Israeli.

Although it’s quite capable of acting on its own initiative, Hezbollah, being Shi‘ite in an overwhelmingly Sunni neighborhood, is closely allied with, and has often apparently been directed by, the Shi‘ite government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. As a proxy in Iran’s campaign against Israel and the West, it has received substantial financial assistance, training, weapons and explosives and political, diplomatic and organizational aid from Tehran and, at least before Syria’s current troubles, from Tehran’s allies in Damascus.

Hezbollah is known to have been involved in numerous anti-U.S. terrorist attacks and was notorious in the West for its seizure of Americans and other hostages during the decade of 1982-1992. It’s viewed by most local Lebanese Shi’ites, however, as the only effective organization to have offered resistance to rival Lebanese groups during the Lebanese civil war, and against U.S., Syrian and Israeli attacks and oppression.

Hezbollah has its base in the Bekaa Valley slightly less than 20 miles to the east of Beirut, in the southern suburbs of the city itself, and in southern Lebanon, but it has established cells in Europe, Africa, South America, North America and Asia. In recent years, it has become a significant military and political force within Lebanon, including representation in Parliament. Its status was considerably enhanced by its stout resistance to Israel during the 2006 Lebanon War.

Hamas — or, perhaps more properly, HAMAS, since its name, which plays off the Arabic word “hamasa” (“valor,” “courage”), is an acronym from the Arabic of its official title, “Islamic Resistance Movement” — is a Sunni organization that emerged from the Muslim Brotherhood during the first Palestinian “intifada” or “uprising” against Israel in 1987. (Emphasis, again, should be placed on the last syllable of the name.) It has become the primary anti-Israeli religious opposition in the occupied territories, with centers of strength in the West Bank and with dominant popularly elected political power in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas is rather loosely organized, but is mainly known to Americans for the volleys of rockets that it sends into southern Israel and for its use of suicide bombers, which it pioneered along with the non-Muslim “Tamil Tigers” or “Liberation Tigers” of Sri Lanka. While it condemns American policies favoring Israel, it has not targeted the U.S. directly. Instead, it focuses on attacking Israel itself, whose right to exist it has adamantly refused to recognize.

Hamas is willing to agree to occasional truces, but won’t sign a peace treaty with the Jewish state. In this respect, it maintains a more overtly radical position than does Fatah, the largest faction of the more secular Palestine Liberation Organization or PLO, which dominates the West Bank area and is much more open to negotiations with Israel.

Hezbollah and Hamas (along with the Muslim Brotherhood itself in Egypt) have garnered a great deal of popular support through their willingness and ability to provide social services to the poor — hospitals, welfare, educational facilities, free clinics and clean water, for example — in places where governments have long been corrupt and ineffective while, at the same time, autocratic and oppressive. In effect, they’ve filled vacuums of social and economic services that badly needed filling.

Tyrants throughout the Middle East — most recently Bashir al-Asad of Syria — have ruthlessly suppressed political opposition but have been generally unwilling to suppress Islam. This has left resistance to Middle Eastern dictators largely in the hands of Muslim religious movements. The rise of Islamic fundamentalism over the past three decades rests on many factors, but the fecklessness of secular institutions and ideologies across the Muslim world, including the lack of freedom and of vibrant, open markets and opportunities for socio-economic advancement, ranks prominently among those factors. In a sense, today’s Islamic extremism represents the unpaid socio-political bills of modern Muslim states, which have gravely failed their citizens.
