(Analyst notes: Elena Kagan, currently a nominee for the Supreme Court by the Obama administration, had major control over the curriculum and training of Harvard Law graduates. Her philosophy of legal education is surely apparent in the requirments for graduation in law there. She saw no need whatever to require students to study the Constitution. She did see, however, a need to study international law and global legal systems. This definately is a progression (a prgressive progression) in legal education from previous study of the Constitution and our legal system, to case-law based education, to global legal perspective. Since so many politicians are lawyers -- legal education standards shape the thinking of our Fed leaders -- as well as our laws, or courts, and our lives. Do you see any danger here that the Constitution and US soverignty are devalued in favor of globalist thinking? We do. We also question how this sort of mind can interpret and decide on Constitutional issues properly.)
As Harvard Law Dean, Kagan Did Not Require Study of U.S. Constitutional Law But Did Require Study of International and Foreign Law
