Analyst's note: Absolutely must read. Our former standard news media is talking about the "transition to democracy" in Egypt. Our Founding Fathers taught us that such is mob rule and is one of the more dangerous forms of government.
"Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths." (Federalist Papers, No. 10, p. 81)
In spite of all that we were given at the founding of this country, the United States seems now to consistently be identified in both the press and the school books as a democracy. As a result of many generations of this, the average American today in the move to socialism, uses the term "democracy" to describe America's traditional Constitutional republic. The term used by our founders is a "democratic republic." A "democratic republic" and a "democracy" are VERY different. Despite long-standing socialist attacks on our U.S. Constitution, the Constitution is NOT outdated, nor obsolete. May I recommend the book "The 5000 Year Leap" by Skousen.
