Analyst's note: We are going to see and hear more of CAIR as Congressman King proceeds with his investigation of Islamic radicalism here in America. Dougie Hooper's true colors will likely be unfurled.
"The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is furious. For the first time since the birth of Mohammed, it isn’t getting its way in Washington.
[...] Sorry. It’s the job of the immigrant to conform to our values. Don’t like ‘em? Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan are looking for a few good extremists.
What does conforming to our values mean? Here are seven commandments, for a start:
Don’t murder your daughter because she kissed a boy at a party.
Don’t force your women to cover their faces in a free society.
Don’t threaten the lives of converts who leave your faith.
Do tell the police everything you know or suspect about terrorists in our midst.
Don’t preach separatism or religious hatred.
Don’t contribute money to Hamas, Hezbollah, al Qaeda or any other terrorist organizations.
Do decide whether you’re an American or a (fill in the national identity). [....]"
[....] Meanwhile, Congressman King is 100% in the right to hold his hearings. Now he needs to exercise diligence, objectivity, sobriety and a fierce commitment to the truth in his quest to expose those extremists among us who threaten our Muslim fellow citizens as gravely as they do the rest of us."
