Analyst's note:  While doing some genealogy, one of our associates recently ran across a very interesting article, complete with maps, detailing the history of Turkey... right up to today.... it even mentions the Turkish sponsored ship that went to Gaza for "humanitarian" reasons.... and got boarded by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF)...   we find it very interesting as it tells about the Islamic movements in Turkey.  It appears Iran is having a very massive intellectual impression there too.... it may be a mirror of what is happening in Libya... and other states in the middle East....  Very interesting reading!
 
We thought you might enjoy reading this as well .... (It also again shows the history of Islam in the world.... the clearly shows our "modern-day jihad" is so modern after all.) 

Considering the concept of understanding our Islamist enemy, perhaps our generals and homeland defense people would benefit as well from a careful review of this material.  It is short enough that there is no need to wait on CAIR or the Muslim Brotherhood to outline it for them or to wait on the other Islamist "cliff notes." :-)
