You've seen the above headline, and considering that our own US federal government has planned talks and maybe GITMO prisonor transfer with the Taliban in early 2012, now consider the "rest of the story" as summarized by a friend of mine:
"This is just one more in a never ending string of examples of incompetency, delusional compliance and felonious appeasement of these 7th century thugs! Why this guy (Mullah Omar) wasn't on the list from day one, we can only speculate but that he has remained off the list and that the US is considering "normalizing" relationships with this man who is responsible for the deaths of United States Sovereign Forces is nothing short of an expression of duplicitous loyalty. Either our Federal Law Enforcement agencies, our President, our Congress and our State Department represent us or they represent some foreign pestilence. This story is certainly leaning toward option 'B'!!!"
